They were formed to act as a venue to allow anyone to sell, and buy just about anything, in an auction-style format commonly referred to as an "online auction."

They sell an assortment of donated items for Project Hope. The description describes if the item benefits our ministry. All auctions end on Thursday evenings at 7pm.

If you would like to place a bid for anything on their site, select the item and click “Place bid”. Proxy bidding is used to place the bids for you. To use this feature, enter your maximum bid amount (highest bid that you are willing to pay) in the bid box on the auction page. Their system will record your maximum bid and place a bid at the LOWEST minimum bid. If another bidder outbids your LOWEST minimum bid, the system will automatically place another bid for you at the LOWEST amount to out bid the other bidder if their bid is not equal to or more than your maximum bid. In the case of a tie the live bidder wins. Proxy bids are completely private and are never displayed to other bidders.

The auction will be over if no bids have been received for a period of 3 minutes prior to the auction close time. If a bid is received in the last 3 minutes of the auction the system automatically extends the auction close time for 3 minutes. The auction will be extended as many times as necessary until there are no bids placed for 3 minutes.

If you are the high bidder you should pay for the pick up your items during regular business hour with in 5 business days.Project Hopehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01759318487568725555noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037419563585494354.post-11318694255905441062009-01-27T14:41:00.000-08:002015-08-31T11:33:21.703-07:00Lisa’s HouseLisa's House is an adult care residence for autistic young adults who are too old to get assistance through social agencies.
Cell Phones for Soldiers hopes to turn old cell phones into more than 12 million minutes of prepaid calling cards for U.S. troops stationed overseas in 2008. To do so, Cell Phones for Soldiers expects to collect 50,000 cell phones each month through a network of more than 3,000 collection sites across the country.

The phones are sent to ReCellular, which pays Cell Phones for Soldiers for each donated phone – enough to provide an hour of talk time to soldiers abroad.

“Americans will replace an estimated 130 million cell phones this year,” says Mike Newman, vice president of ReCellular, “with the majority of phones either discarded or stuffed in a drawer. Most people don’t realize that the small sacrifice of donating their unwanted phones can have a tremendous benefit for a worthy cause like Cell Phones for Soldiers.”

Cell Phones for Soldiers was founded by teenagers Robbie and Brittany Bergquist from Norwell, Mass., with $21 of their own money. Since then, the registered 501c3 non-profit organization has raised almost $2 million in donations and distributed more than 500,000 prepaid calling cards to soldiers serving overseas.

“Cell Phones for Soldiers started as a small way to show our family’s appreciation for the men and women who have sacrificed the day-to-day contact with their own families to serve in the U.S. armed forces,” says the teens’ father, Bob Bergquist. “Over the past few years, we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of others. But, we have also seen the need to support our troops continue to grow as more troops are sent overseas for longer assignments.”

Through increased fundraising efforts, the Bergquist family hopes to raise more than $9 million in the next five years to fund new programs, such as providing video phones with prepaid service to allow soldiers abroad to see their families on a regular basis.
Our Suitcase Of Hope Programs will help ease this burden.

Often as children enter the foster care system, or if they change to a new family, they come with very little clothing and furniture. We will give a suitcase or backpack filled with items that make the move easier. They may pick out socks, underwear, jeans, shirts, sweaters, shoes, and a special toy. If furniture or bedding is needed please feel free to discuss it with a director.

These items are given at no cost to the family, and they are meant to help the child and parents at a a difficult time in their life. Because the child is allowed to choose what they like, it makes them feel like they have control over the situation. In addition, each child is given a Bible with a blessing written inside the cover.

This offer is also available to parents undertaking an international adoption.

IT ALL STARTED WITH AN ORDINARY WOMAN WITH ORDINARY TALENTS… THAT SERVED AN AWESOME GOD, WHO DID EXTRA ORDINARY THINGS THROUGH HER!

Annetta Jansen Ministry Center Story

Annetta Jansen began her ministry in the 1950s as a labor of love to help individuals and families with needs in her community. She shared food and clothing, as well as offered a cup of coffee and a prayer to all who came to her door. Annetta was diagnosed with cancer in 1996 and could no longer continue the ministry.

Annetta’s ministry was merged with Project Hope, which had been organized in 1994 as a long-term self-help mentoring ministry. The first Project Hope Annetta Jansen Ministry Center opened its doors in 1997 just 3 months after Annetta went home to be with her Lord.

It was soon realized that the current building was limited in meeting the needs of a growing ministry and a changing community. Plans for a new facility began with a generous land donation in 2002 and were completed in the spring of 2007.

In 2008, another addition was approved. An expansion increased the thrift store to 4,000 square ft. and made way for a larger donation processing area. The food pantry was also expanded and a storage warehouse was included to help us serve approx.. 500 clients per month.

Today Project Hope of Northeast Allegan County exists as a multi-faceted ministry, serving the whole family and the community. See our video on YouTube @ project hope ministries.
